Yogasita ~ Potrero Hill ~ Your Neighborhood Yoga Studio.

YogaSita ~ A beautiful, serene, neighborhood Yoga Studio on San Francisco's Potrero Hill, 94107.

Yoga ~ An ancient and contemporary science, an artful practice, a philosophy. Yoga strengthens, balances and supports health in the whole being. Yoga is not stretching! Precise postures and breathing practices enhance immune, endocrine, respiratory, circulatory, musculo-skeletal, and digestive functions, promote concentration and deep relaxation, and thereby rejuvenate.

Studio Director ~ Susannah Bruder began practicing/studying Yoga in 1986, and has been teaching around the Bay Area since 1995. Susannah's forte is teaching to individuals within the group. Her extensive knowledge stems from years of being a bodywork and one on one rehabilitative therapy professional, intensive ongoing studies in the Yogic sciences, teaching over many years, and intuitive gifts. Susannah has studied with and been inspired by Antonio Sanchez, Zhander Remete, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Krishna Das, and other Great Teachers on the Path.

Style ~ Our style is classic Yoga, offered in a space where Yoga's essences, union and balance, and community, thrive. The style at Yogasita is to teach to
individuals within each group. Historically these styles are called Siksana (healthy children/teens), Raksana (healthy adults), and Cikitsa (Yoga therapy). We don't label our classes in terms such as Flow, Power, Hot, Heart, Elephant Yoga, etc., although you may recognize elements of your favorite among these,
in our classes.

Classes ~ Offer a range of possibilities, from vigorous Shadow Yoga based sequences, to basic postures, to restorative practices, to prenatal practice.
Each class has a different character; discuss with Teacher to see which best suits your ability. Our students range from age 6 to 80 and possess a full range of abilities - classes are truly All Levels. Monthly Intro to Yoga Series, and a Sunday Beginners Class are for absolute beginners. Teacher Training is
offered approximately every three years. Week-long Immersions happen every 6 - 8 weeks.

Yogasita ~ Easy to reach: Six MUNI lines run one block away on 17th Street; the new Light Rail "T" Line Mariposa stop is eight blocks east; come by foot,
car or bike, with parking free and easy. You can park your bicycle inside, on the ground floor. Our sandwich board and entrance are near the corner of Arkansas, across from Jackson Park. Studio is on third floor.

Yogasita ~ Centrally Located close to the Embarcadero, Rincon Hill, Downtown SF, Mission Bay, South Beach, SOMA, Glen Park, Mission Terrace, Northeast Mission, Bernal Heights, Bayview, Dogpatch, and the SF Bay Bridge.
